STAND OFF, AB — The paving of the Ring Road beginning from the Stand Off St. Catherine’s Cemetery and through to the Public Works department and continuing to the Shot On Both Sides building and down to the main highway across the Trading Post will begin by the middle of this month.

The Brooks and Asphalt and Aggregate Ltd. company are preparing to begin the paving of the highway commencing May 15/2015 from the north entrance of the Ring Road on Hi-way 2 at Stand Off to the St. Catherine’s Cemetery at the south end of the Ring Road. The company will employ at least 30 % of the paving crew from the tribe in aspects of labor and equipment opportunities.

During the paving process, the entrances and exits will be complete with signs notifying the public of speed limits and other safety measures. There will also be flagmen who will assist in the safety and direction of traffic during the paving phases. The completion of the paving of the Ring Road is estimated to be at the end of July 2015.

The Blood Tribe Administration asks for your patience and to obey the traffic signs and flagmen during this time.
