Notice of Ratification Vote Now Available

The Blood Tribe is giving notice to all Blood Tribe members for the Ratification Vote on the Blood Tribe Treaty Entitlement Cattle Specific Claim Settlement Agreement and the Blood Tribe Treaty Cattle Claim Long Term Investment Trust Agreement. An electronic vote will occur on September 14th, and 15th and in-person voting will occur on September 16th.

The Blood Tribe is currently negotiating a TOPGAS $17.6 million settlement agreement with the Government of Canada.

New COVID-19 enhanced safety measures in effect


The Blood Tribe Director of Emergency Management and Chief and Council reviewed the safety measures and determined the Tribe was in the position to relax some of the restrictions in place.

Please remember to continue to follow public health guidelines in maintaining physical distancing in public places, wearing masks, and washing/sanitizing hands. It is also strongly encouraged that all Blood Tribe members receive COVID-19 vaccines – vaccine clinics are still operating on the Blood Reserve please check btdh.ca for scheduled dates and times.

Blood Tribe Communications, along with DerRic Starlight’s Nuppets have developed a series of COVID-19 safety videos. All the videos are nestled in the prairie of the largest reserve in Canada, the Blood Reserve.

The Blood Tribe Comprehensive Community Plan (BTCCP) will guide development in the communities of Standoff, Levern, Old Agency and Moses Lake. This plan brings together projects and planning that have taken years of hard work by Blood Tribe members, staff and leadership along with new opportunities and strategies into a planning framework that will improve how the communities work together in supporting the needs, values and desires of Blood Tribe members.
