The Blood Tribe Communications and Community Engagement department is the official information source for the Kainai Nation. We are responsible for delivering accurate, timely and culturally respectful communications to all Blood Tribe members—on-reserve and off-reserve. Our team works in collaboration with the Blood Tribe Chief and Council and all 12 departments of Blood Tribe Administration to ensure information is accessible, consistent and aligned with the Nation’s values and priorities. Through a range of digital and traditional platforms, we support transparency, foster engagement and promote awareness of programs, services and initiatives that impact our community.

Service Delivery
Blood Tribe Communications & Community Engagement manages the dissemination of official news and updates through various channels, including press releases, newsletters, and social media platforms. This ensures that community members are informed about important developments, events, and initiatives.
Organizing and facilitating community meetings, forums, and events to gather input, share information, and foster dialogue between the Blood Tribe administration and its members. Like attending resource fairs where we connect with community members and and engage with different companies and departments.
Blood Tribe Communications provide timely and accurate information during emergencies, making sure that our community members get the right information. Such as health crises or natural disasters, the department collaborates with other agencies to ensure that critical updates like those related to the opioid crises or public health alerts, are effectively communicated to the community.
Our team maintain the Blood Tribe’s online presence through the official website, and social media channels. This includes creating and sharing multimedia content that highlights community events, programs, and success stories for our community.
Promoting and providing coverage for various community events, workshops, and initiatives. We collectively share our 12 other departments information as well when needed. Blood Tribe Communications ensures that these events are well-publicized and documented, fostering greater community participation and awareness.
