Blood Tribe Economic Development Hosts Successful Valentine’s Day Market

The Blood Tribe’s thriving spirit of entrepreneurship was on full display this past Friday at Blood Tribe Economic Development’s annual Valentine’s Day Market at the Standoff Multi-Purpose Building. From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, vendors were in attendance to sell a variety of gifts for the upcoming holiday, from blankets, bannock, and beadwork, to jewelry, apparel, and dirty sodas.

Norma Wolf Child, Small Business Development Officer, was happy with the event’s turnout. Foot traffic started out slow, but the rest of the day brought a steady ebb and flow of customers looking for gifts for their special someone.

Based on the success of past holiday markets, Wolf Child plans to schedule them on a more frequent basis moving forward. This includes an Easter Market in March, in addition to spring and summer markets. She hopes to continue to promote Blood Tribe’s entrepreneurs, as well as promote Blood Tribe Economic Development’s upcoming Small Business Training and Support programming.
