Blood Tribe Hires New Senior Finance Officer, Jyme Many Grey Horses – Yellow Horn

The Blood Tribe Administration (BTA) is proud to announce Jyme Many Grey Horses – Yellow Horn as the new Senior Finance Officer (SFO) as of October 2025. Jyme was the former Senior Accountant for Blood Tribe Housing from 2008 until 2023, when she then applied with the Finance Department for the role of Management Accountant. In 2024 Jyme was appointed Acting SFO after the passing of former SFO, Ronnie Shade, who previously served as the SFO for 41 years.
The Senior Finance Officer position oversees all financial matters concerning the BTA departments, service areas, and entities. The SFO aligns all financial strategies with the Blood Tribe’s mission, overall values, and Kainayssini.
“Now that I’m in this position, I want to gain more knowledge and experience for the whole Blood Tribe and help incorporate more financial planning in areas that need to be addressed.”
Jyme started her educational journey at Lethbridge College (Polytechnic) where she received a diploma in Business Administration. She then went on to further her education by pursuing a degree in Business Management with Athabasca University.
She began her career as a summer student for Blood Tribe Public Works in 2004, under the mentorship of Teresa K. Healy. In 2005, she entered the BTA’s Junior Accountant Program where she assisted multiple departments with database entry and filing until she became the Senior Accountant in 2008 for Blood Tribe Housing until 2023. Jyme’s’ future goal is to go back to university to become a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Professional Accountant.
Jyme’s parents are Rosie Many Grey Horses and Jordan Head; raised by her grandparents the late Douglas Many Grey Horses Sr. and the late Theresa Vielle. She is married to Ross Yellow Horn, and she has three children: Cali, Max, Vienna, and 1 grandchild, Cloud. During her free time Jyme likes to golf and travel.
