Blood Tribe Membership is a department of Blood Tribe Administration. Memberships purpose is to:
- To register those entitled for Blood Tribe Membership and Indian Status
- To update and maintain the Blood Tribe Indian Register and Blood Band list in a timely accurate manner
- To provide laision services for Blood Tribe members
- To administer Per Capita Distribution
- To provide research services regarding distributions
- To administer trust payouts
- To issue Band Membership Cards for Blood Tribe Members
- To assist Blood Tribe members with status card applications

CARDS AVAILABLE TO ALL REGISTERED BLOOD TRIBE MEMBERS 6 YRS OF AGE AND OLDER (CHILDREN UNDER 5 YRS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE CARD)
AS PER PAYMENT SCHEDULE – IF THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST CARD – PLEASE HAVE PAYMENT READY WHEN YOU COME IN.

• FIRST CARD – FREE
• 2ND CARD – $15.00
• 3RD CARD – $25.00
• 4TH CARD – $35.00
Please have fee when applying for card.
Cards are not printed unless fee is paid.
If you don’t know the amount you need to pay, call (403) 737-8111 to determine the cost.
Membership Application Packages can be picked up at the main receptionist desk inside the Blood Tribe Administration Building or mailed to the individual
- Completed application packages can be either submitted at the BTA Building or mailed in for review
- If application packages are brought in, a Membership staff worker can meet them at the main receptionist desk and review the application with the applicant. If everything is ok with the application, Membership can take the documents from the applicant for processing
- If application packages are mailed, a Membership staff worker can review them, and if anything is missing, they can call them back.
