Blood Tribe Public Works is a department of The Blood Tribe Administration. Located in Standoff, AB, Blood Tribe Public Works is responsible for the development, construction and maintenance of vital infrastructure on the Blood Reserve. Our staff is committed to the safety and service of all Blood Tribe Members. Our duties include garbage pick-up, snow removal, road construction, water deliveries, and water line maintenance. Our Road Crew is responsible for maintaining over 1200 kilometres of roads on the reserve.

Service Delivery
Blood Tribe Public Works plays a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure and essential services that support daily life on the Blood Reserve. The department is responsible for road construction and maintenance (over 1200 km of roadways), garbage collection, snow removal, water deliveries (over 800 cisterns), and upkeep of the community’s water systems.
Public Works also assists with major infrastructure projects and collaborates closely with other departments to improve community safety, accessibility, and sustainability.
Through dedicated staff and management, the department ensures that essential services remain reliable, and infrastructure continues to meet the needs of our growing population.
Fees: $15.00 per load
Water deliveries are available during regular business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Delivery requests received after regular business hours will be logged but must first be approved by management before deliveries are sent out.
Fees: $20.00 per load
The Blood Reserve #148 is divided into six zones. To help serve you better, please refer to your correct zone number when requesting services such as garbage pick-up and snow removal.
