Measles cases have risen sharply worldwide, and Canada is seeing the same trend. As of March 6, 2025, Canada has recorded 227 cases, many requiring hospitalization.
With spring break travel season approaching, the combination of increasing measles cases and declining vaccination rates among school-aged children raises the risk of further illness and community spread.
The Blood Tribe Department of Health is providing the measles vaccine tomorrow, March 14 at Community Health from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. This is also the last month we will be offering Flu vaccines so please make it a priority for you, your family and loved ones to get up to date on your vaccinations.
