Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Blood Reserve #148, including Standoff, with significant rainfall expected through Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Blood Tribe Housing is asking all occupants to take precautions to help prevent damage to their homes during this weather event.
Roof Leaks
- Monitor ceilings and walls for signs of water penetration.
- If water begins entering your home, place containers under active leaks and move furniture, electronics, and personal belongings away from affected areas.
- Report roof leaks to Blood Tribe Housing as soon as possible.
Basement Flooding
- Check your basement regularly for water seepage or pooling.
- Move valuable items, furniture, and important documents off the floor and to higher locations.
- Ensure floor drains remain clear and accessible.
- If your home has a sump pump, ensure it is operating properly.
- Report any basement flooding immediately.
Around Your Home
- Keep drainage areas, eavestrough downspouts, and culverts free of debris where possible.
- Ensure downspouts are directing water away from the foundation of your home.
- Keep flip-outs down can help prevent water from entering basement windows and reduce the risk of basement flooding.
