Further to Chief Travis Plaited Hair’s July 15, 2026, Community Update on the Big Claim, regarding his meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney and Minister Alty, the Chief provides the following additional information.
I just want to inform Blood Tribe members that this morning at the AFN Assembly in Ottawa, I also met with Minister Dominic Leblanc, Intergovernmental Affairs; Michael J. Salia, Clerk of Privy Council & Secretary to the Cabinet, to discuss the Big Claim. I was requested to offer the opening prayer for today’s meeting.
