Blood Tribe Environment Protection Division will be hosting workshops for Kainai members to learn about the importance of taking care of our environment.

February 12 & 13 8:30 am (Breakfast provided)

Focus on Wetlands (Natural areas around water)

  • Kainai Wetland Conservation Project
  • Understanding the function of wetlands
  • Opportunity for feedback: how can we better support wetlands
  • Living with Beavers

Thursday February 13th, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (lunch provided)

Focus on Prairies and Native Grasslands

  • What Stewardship and Conservation mean for Kainai
  • Blood Tribe  Environment Protection Division Grasslands Project
  • Opportunity for feedback: Community Conservation Goals
  • Using film to monitor changes: Indigenous Climate Change Observation Network
