COVID-19 – Things to Consider (Blood Tribe)

As we move towards the weekend, Blood Tribe Emergency Management Team encourages all members to continue to practice the COVID-19 safety measures and abide by the restrictions set in place on reserve. Leadership would love to keep the momentum going in reducing the infection numbers of members, so hopefully they can be in a position to start lifting restrictions on reserve in weeks to come.

Only a couple of weeks ago, the reserve was at two active cases, but within a short matter of time they rose back to 17 and now we are back down to nine going into this weekend.

So over the weekend, please be mindful of doing your best to eliminate non-essential travel, if possible. And if you are in the public to make sure to wear a face mask at all times, maintain physical distancing and wash your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer as often as you can.

Also, if you do leave the south zone or are in a large gathering, please make sure to have yourself tested upon your return to the reserve, while self isolating until you get your test results back.

The best way we can beat this virus and get some normality back in our lives is by working together, being kind and doing our best individually to help stop the spread.

Stay Safe!
