Happy New Year Kainaiwa,
Blood Tribe Chief and Council and the Blood Tribe Emergency Management Team would like to wish all Tribal members and their families a happy and healthy 2021.
To help keep everyone healthy in 2021, the Blood Tribe Emergency Management team asks that all Tribal members continue to comply with or start following the COVID-19 safety guidelines, including rules and restrictions asked of them set forth by our Tribal, Provincial and Federal Leadership.

With the recent federal and provincial announcements of vaccine (limited) rollouts, we must remember that it will still take several months or longer before the vaccine gets administered, and the results and impacts it provides against COVID-19 can be seen.
Since the discovery of a new COVID-19 strain and an increase in active case numbers resulting from some community members’ activities over the Christmas Holidays, we must continue to collectively stay diligent with our safety practices. By doing this, according to Health officials, we can help to stop the spread of COVID-19.
At this time, we want to share our new COVID-19 webpage to allow bloodtribe.org visitors to view information to keep Tribal members updated with the virus response on the Blood Reserve.
The COVID-19 information resource is located in the tab title “COVID-19”, which can be found in the top right corner of the screen on the Blood Tribe Administration website’s home page. After clicking on the tab, you will be taken to a web page where all COVID-19 related information is stored. Found at the top of this COVID-19 web page are two COVID-19 quick reference sections that provide information about various topics and matters regarding the Blood Reserve.
The first section has clickable buttons that will link you to information about various COVID-19 related topics. The second section provides information about the COVID-19 requirements for the Blood Reserve in a dropdown menu.
New updates and resources will be added to the section as needed in the days and weeks to come, so make sure to regularly check back to find the latest Blood Tribe COVID-19 information.
Stay Safe,
