BLOOD TRIBE GRASS FIRE UPDATE – *Temporary Shelter* – (March 28, 2021 – 8:23 P.M.)

Blood Tribe Recreation & Parks has confirmed the temporary shelter at the Multi-Purpose Building in Stand Off is now set up.

A total of 20 beds have been prepared for Tribal members, who need a place to stay, who were forced to evacuate from their homes due to the grass fires.Please be advised; for anyone who plans on staying at the temporary shelter, you will need to bring your own bedding and toiletries and possibly food as there is none available at this time.

Multi-Purpose Building – Stand Off, Alberta

Once there is confirmation of how many people will be staying at the shelter, food arrangements can be made.To access the shelter, please use the north entrance at the Multi-Purpose Building. Please remember to follow all COVID-19 safety measures while staying at the building and be kind and respectful to the staff onsite.

The temporary shelter will be open all night and will remain open until further notification from the Director of Emergency Management.

Evacuees can also call Red Cross at 1-888-800-6493 to access temporary shelter.
