On March 22, 2021 at 3pm the Blood Tribe Police Service were called to a residence in Standoff, where they discovered a man with significant injuries to his leg. The injuries are believed to be a result of a firearm. The victim was transported by EMS to the hospital, reportedly in stable condition.
Police believe this was a targeted incident and there is no immediate danger to the public.
Blood Tribe Police Service have charged two people in relation to the shooting but due to a publication ban ordered by the court, no further information will be released at this time.
