On May 10, 2022, Blood Tribe Police Service executed a search warrant on a property in the community of Moses Lake located on the Blood Tribe after concerns were raised from the public regarding the illegal sale of cannabis.
Members seized 2013 grams of dry cannabis, 838 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms), cannabis edibles, and other cannabis products for a total value of approximately $60,000. In addition, $14,674 in Canadian currency was seized.
A 53-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both from the Blood Tribe, were arrested on the scene. Both were released from police custody and charges are pending.
Blood Tribe Police would like to remind the public that the marketing and sale of cannabis and alcohol are strictly prohibited on the Blood Tribe.
