The Blood Tribe Police Service would like to inform the public of the wind warning that was issued by Environment Canada in Blood Tribe and the surrounding region.
It is expected that the wind will cause drifting snow and poor visibility in the area. BTPS asks that community members stay off the roads and remain at their residences unless absolutely necessary.
Although Blood Tribe Public Works has personnel busy clearing the roads, the deteriorating conditions make it difficult to keep up with the demand. This will no doubt have an effect on the response of emergency services, such as tow trucks, ambulances, and police.
