In the past, on distribution days, there have been issues with traffic congestion that made it difficult for emergency services to attend to calls for service.
Due to this, the Blood Tribe Police Service will restrict traffic flow to ONE WAY on distribution day (February 14, 2023) between 8 AM – 9 PM.
The public is asked to ENTER through Kainai Industries Rd and use the ring road toward the Multi-Purpose Building and EXIT down BTA Rd.
There will be NO EXCEPTIONS made during this time. BTPS officers will be positioned strategically throughout the route to ensure compliance.
Those working at any of the services along BTA Rd are asked to arrive before 8 AM. Otherwise, they will be redirected through Kainai Industries Rd and have to follow the traffic route to their final destination.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience and frustration, however, to ensure that we can maintain public safety and that emergency response remains effective throughout the Nation, this has been deemed necessary.
