Search Warrant results in seizure of drugs and firearms.

On February 20, 2023, the Blood Tribe Police Service, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), executed a search warrant at a residence south of the community of Standoff, on the Blood Tribe.
One male and one female were taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the subsequent search, police recovered 22 grams of suspected Fentanyl (approximate street value: $4500), which was individually packaged and ready for sale, and $1,340 Canadian Currency.
Additionally, police found two (2) firearms, six (6) replica firearms, a hunting bow, various types of ammunition, and 35 edged weapons.
Andy Troy Spear Chief, 35, of Standoff, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of Property/Currency Obtained by Crime, and various weapon-related offences. Spear Chief was also arrested on multiple warrants for serious offences out of Blood Tribe Police Service and Cardston RCMP.
Spear Chief was brought before a JP and was remanded into custody to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on February 22, 2023.
The female found at the residence was released without charges.
