Red Crow Community College is proud to announce that Dr. Roy Weasel Fat, president, has been selected as one of only 7000 Albertans to receive the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal. This commemorative medal was established to mark special anniversaries or occasions and is awarded to recognize contributions made by Canadians from a broad spectrum of society.
Alberta Advanced Education nominated Dr. Weasel Fat to receive this medal in order to recognize his dedication and work towards providing post-secondary education for first nations students. The minister of Advanced Education has stated that Dr. Weasel Fat has demonstrated exceptional qualities and outstanding service in the field of adult education.
Dr. Weasel Fat received his commemorative medal at a ceremony in the Alberta legislature on March 16, 2023. Please join us in celebrating this significant achievement by congratulating Dr. Weasel Fat.
