Face Masks

Face masks are mandatory to wear in public on Blood Reserve.

Public Buildings

All public gymnasiums on Blood Reserve are closed.

Social Gatherings

(Gathering Restrictions Were Modified In New Amended Enhanced Safety Measures – September 14, 2021)

Gatherings for any purpose shall be subject to the following rules until further notice as follows:

a. Indoor public gatherings will be limited to half capacity of fire regulations.

b. Temperature checks, masking, physical distancing of at least 2 meters, and hand sanitizers will be required at all public buildings and outdoor gatherings.

c. There shall be no indoor gatherings, outside of family cohorts, at private residences.

d. All funerals shall only be held at funeral homes and not at private residences.

*Outdoor wakes are permitted and then only as approved in advance by the DEM and Blood Tribe Community Health with continued safety measures for outdoor gatherings.


(Travel Restrictions Were Eased In Amended Enhanced Safety Measures – June 14, 2021)

Easing of travel restrictions will be permitted in line with Alberta Provincial Stage 3 Guidelines.

With the continuance of the COVID-19 vaccination program on the Blood Reserve, all Blood Tribe Members are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated to protect themselves, and others from the COVID-19 virus, and before travelling on the Blood Reserve.
