Moses Lake:
- Little League Baseball registrations will begin in March and the season will begin in April. Tuesdays and Thursdays are anticipated game days. Please stay tuned for posters and upcoming registration dates.
- The next Moses Lake Community Meeting will be held on February 13th, 2025.
Levern
- A Kidney Health Check Clinic will be conducted at The Levern Community Clinic on February 25th, 2025. Call 403-737-8610 for more information.
- The next Levern Community Meeting will be held on March 3rd, 2025 at 5 pm. The venue is TBD.
Standoff
- The next Standoff Community Meeting will be held on February 26th, 2025 from 5 – 9 pm. Venue is TBD.
- Youth (25 & under) Open House Info Session will be held at The Standoff Multipurpose Building on February 14th, 20125 from 12 – 4 pm. There will be information booths from Blood Tribe Departments and Entities. There will also be information booths featuring Good Movement, Grey Horse Basketball, AIG, NAIG, Lacrosse, Weight Training, Boxing, Horse & Rodeo and more. Door prizes will be awarded.
- Blood Tribe Department of Health and Wellness, in partnership with Blood Tribe Recreation and Parks, is hosting a Sober Dance in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People on February 14th, 2025 at The Standoff Multipurpose building from 5 – 9 pm. Dinner will be served at 5 pm, featuring Indian tacos and lunch bags for children (first 500 to be fed). Dance starts at 6 pm. Rudz Crew and Baby Flats will provide entertainment. Multiple door prizes will be awarded.
- Animal control community issue update: Blood Tribe Land Management will be posting a job application for a dedicated Animal Control Officer soon. The successful applicant’s training will be completed by the end of April. The community is advised to participate in the animal survey currently being circulated. Community members are also asked to submit documentation of all pets to the Blood Tribe animal registry.
- The next Blood Tribe Spay and Neuter Clinic for Pets will be held May 2nd – 4th at the Kainai Hockey Rink. Animal drop-off will take place on Friday and Saturday. Treated animals can then be picked up on Sunday.
- Cardston Outdoor Supply is hosting gun license and firearms safety courses. The full-day course (9am – 5pm) is held once per month. Youth ages 12 – 17 may take the Possession Only License course.
